Extraction Systems

Removing air from a building for process, comfort, and compliance reasons.

Requirements for removing air from a building can arise for a number of reasons: internal and external heat gain, contamination from fume or oil mist, process or regulatory considerations.

Gradwood manufacture and install an extensive range of unitary commercial/industrial exhaust fans and have the in house design capability to provide bespoke extraction systems solutions to a large range of applications:

Input Systems

Replacing extracted air in a controllable manner.

Requirements for replacing air from a building arise generally from the need to replace extracted air in a controllable manner. In doing so the input air can aid the cooling process and/or prevent cold draughts in unwanted locations. Additionally, Building Regulations can require specific air supply rates for individuals in certain applications.

Stand alone consoles offer time and temperature control at point of use and utilise remote internal and external sensors to optimise operating strategy.

Larger multi facetted services can benefit from centralised Energy Management Systems (EMS). These computer controlled multi-zone control systems can increase system efficiencies and user flexibility thus enabling reductions in fuel consumption of up to 25% over conventional controls.
